Suncorp Group is looking for a best-in-class Financial Crime Officer to join our Financial Crimes division based in Brisbane on a permanent full-time basis.
Suncorp Bank's Financial Crimes division is dedicated to the prevention, detection, and response to Financial Crime. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Crime Payments and Disputes the Financial Crime Officer role will play a part in all aspects of the division, including operational transaction monitoring, management of customers through the fraud life cycle; whilst accurately completing delegated work in a timely manner, customer due diligence, sanction screening and any other tasks relevant to Financial Crime Operations.
What you'll do
- Effectively and efficiently prevent, detect, investigate and respond to Financial Crimes as delegated, including fraud, scams, AML CTF, Due Diligence, KYC and sanctions
- Action real time and near real time alerts, including phoning customers direct and assisting internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with internal Financial Crime policies and external regulatory obligations
- Manage KYC, fraud and scam activities whilst ensuring SLAs and relevant customer deliverable are met
- Provide subject matter input in support of business initiatives and Financial Crimes projects as required
- Qualification in Financial Crime investigative methods and practices is desirable
- 1 years Banking, AML CTF or KYC refresh experience required
- AML CTF & KYC experience desired
- Ability to analyse data and patterns in transactional behaviour
- Customer service experience
- Investigative experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Exception based investigative and analytical capability
