What We’re Looking For...
As our Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst, you will help building a Centre of Excellence for FP&A to support the growth plans for Saluda. This role includes assisting with the group’s forecasting and budgeting process, system automation, process improvements, KPI dashboards and reporting, financial modelling, scenario analysis and contingency planning.
This a 6-month fixed term contract.
Your role will include:
Planning
- Budget: assist with the budget process and coordinate with business unit finance teams to develop plans & assumptions to achieve business targets
- Forecast: assist with the forecast process to track current performance vs targets & plan assumptions, updating forecasts (drivers, assumptions, KPIs, P&L, cash), identify risks and opportunities or other sensitivities vs plan.
- Data collation and key business deliverables: Coordinate with other Financial Business Partners to consolidate budget and forecast numbers. Assist with the preparation of deliverables for the Executive team and the board
- Systems: ensuring a complete and accurate record of forecast data and financials in relevant systems through each budget and reforecast process
- KPIs: assist with the production and distribution of KPI dashboards, automation of data & reporting identification & escalation of material changes in outlook
- Costs: track and review trends in cost drivers operating expenses and cash burn. Coordinate management levers and reporting with business unit finance teams to ensure that spend is controlled within agreed targets
- Scenario analysis: modelling and analysing business scenarios, developing contingency plans to respond effectively to changes in market conditions or business assumptions or performance
- 5 year plan: assist with the ongoing development of a 5 year planning model to facilitate the plans, drivers & assumptions for achieving long term strategic & business objectives
Systems and process improvements
- Streamline and optimise the various processes used by the team to help building a best-in-class FP&A function
- Automate processes, data flow to support forecast, budget, cost tracking and KPIs
- Develop appropriate models and tools to help tracking key operating expenses such as headcount costs and COGS
Business partnering
- Support the Senior Manager for FP&A partner with key business stakeholders to develop a detailed understanding of the business strategy, operations, risks & controls
- Support the Senior Manager for FP&A partner with the business in developing & implementing business strategy, operating & financial plans & responding effectively to changes in outlook & circumstances
Financial control
- Maintenance of a strong internal control environment to ensure the effective control of material business and financial risks and ensuring that controls are implemented ahead of business growth and comply with Group policies and procedures and external requirements
- FX risk management: Support the measurement & Analysis of FX risk & control of cash management processes
- Tax: Support the development of business plans to optimize global tax and respond to changes in corporate structure or legislation
- Participate in special projects, prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis for management.
About you:
- Previous experience in a FP&A role with a high focus on systems and process improvement
- Demonstrable hands on ERP, Planning and BI system skills is critical for the role
- Experience with FP&A processes particularly the tracking of key operating expenses (headcount, COGS) against budget and forecast
- Outstanding business Planning & Analysis skills
- Outstanding commercial analysis and modelling skills
- Excellent communication & business partnering skills
- Experience in complex and multinational operations
- Ability to work effectively across time zones and cultures
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a changing work environment

- Professional Accounting or Finance qualifications
It’s not essential, but nice if you have:
- Demonstrable personal initiative, the ability to work under limited direction, and strong team working, collaboration and problem solving skills
- Good practical knowledge and experience of US listing and corporate compliance requirements is highly valued
- Good practical understanding of sales and corporate finance concepts and principles
- Excellent time-management skills with a proven ability to set and work to priorities
- Sound judgement, ability to build great stakeholder relationships, retain confidentiality and use discretion
