Working for a leading fire services company committed to ensuring safety and security in various environments. Who specialize in designing and implementing state-of-the-art fire protection solutions for primairly commercial multi residential projects. Due to high volume of projects - they are looking to add an experienced Fire Systems Designer to their team
About the role:
As a Fire Systems Designer, you will play a key role in designing and planning fire protection systems for a wide range of projects. You will head up a small team of designers to quality check work and approve that the designs adhere to industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project teams to understand client requirements and project specifications.
• Design and draft fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and suppression systems
• Conduct site visits and assessments to gather relevant information for designing fire safety solutions.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire codes and regulations.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for fire protection systems.
• Work closely with clients and stakeholders to address their concerns and provide technical expertise.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to fire protection systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing fire protection systems for large scale projects
• FSD accreditted
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD & Revit also benefiticial. Plus familiarity with Hyena for hydraulic calculations
• Strong knowledge of Australian fire codes, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
