About the Role: Tasmanian Seafoods requires an experienced Fishing Assets and Fleet Manager preferably based in either Queensland or Tasmania. This position will have responsibility for the fleet, fishing operations, fishing asset management, quotas and compliance. Experience in wild fishing activities is essential.
The Fleet and Fishing Operations Manager is entrusted with overseeing the day-to-day operations of all vessels in the fleet. You must adhere to highest safety standards with regard to the vessels, crew and freight. Excellent communication skills are essential for liaising with captain(s) of the vessels, production managers, internal and external stakeholders.
About you:
- Experience managing a fleet, vessel licences, quotas and fishing contracts
- Experience in managing fisheries interaction and compliance
- Proficient in contract management, legislative compliance and survey standards
- Focus on profitable and sustainable fishing practices
- Hobart or Queensland based
