SalaryA Full Time position has become available in our Company, Proton Engineering Pty Ltd, A probationary Period will be required. Applicants will be required to have a Trade Certificate, Be able to assist with Handling Large Heavy Equipment, Have a current Driver's License & Have knowledge with Engineering Equipment & Machines.
Our company, Manufactures & Repairs Large Irrigation Equipment, Which Includes Pumps & Gear Drives, Agricultural, Mining & Cotton Gin Equipment.
The Sucessful Applicant will be Required to Carry out the Following:
* Study drawings & Specifications to determine the correct material, Sequence of Operations & Machine Settings.
* Fitting Fabricated metal parts into products & Assembling metal parts and Sub Assemblies to Produce or Repair Equipment.
* Checking fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments.
* Using machining tools to turn, mill, thread ( internal & external), cut, grind, bore, Drill & Weld metal, plastic & wood components.
* Repairing mechanical parts & fluid power equipment.
* Equipment to be used: Centre Lathes with 1.5 - 3.5M Beds, Milling Machines, Slotting Shaping Machines, Surface Grinder, Vertical Borer, Horizontal Borer, Drilling Machines, Welding Machines, Bandsaw & Power Tools.
* Machine to a Tolerance on both the Inside & Outside Diameters.
* use of Micrometers for Measuring.
* Mark out parts required for the Irrigation, Farming, Mining or Cotton Gin Repairs.
ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Use of Oxygen & Acetylene to cut and heat Components.
* Brazing of Components.
* Welding Using both Stick & Mig Machines.
* Safety Clothing Required Including: Safety Work Boots, Long or Short Sleeve shirts & trousers.
HOURS OF WORK:
38 Hours Per Week
overtime available during Peak times
Award wages paid
4 Weeks Holiday Leave and 10 Days Sick/ Personal Leave Provided
