ABOUT THE ROLE
Chemcouriers Brisbane is looking for a career driven individual to join the Transport team in the role of Fleet Allocator.
The role will work in conjunction with another Allocator looking after local Brisbane pickups, deliveries, and timeslots for our growing fleet of 17 vehicles. Focus and a keen eye for detail are crucial in this fast-paced role.

Day to day your tasks may include:
- Planning delivery runs with a view to put the right truck in the right area for pickups that afternoon, while meeting timeslot bookings and being mindful of linehaul arrival times.
- Allocating Pickups while monitoring driver fatigue, capacity, and understanding the time taken to complete what you’re asking.
- Closely monitor all local freight coming through the depot, ensuring no consignment falls through the cracks.
- Monitoring drivers first delivery runs, adapting your delivery plan as required to maintain our quality service.
- Provide a detailed handover to the 2nd allocator.
- Booking in timeslots with major DCs.
- Ensuring documentation meets requirements for all timeslot receivers.
- Build relationships with our contacts at our major customers

- Be able to make a decision quickly to solve problems as they arise.
- Be able to build rapport with our Owner Drivers, Customers and Team
- Maintain a focus on Quality, every consignment matters, big or small
- Be eager to learn the world of dangerous goods and all its quirks
- Pro-actively tie up loose ends and solve problems.
- Be flexible in your start time when required – 4:00am or 7:30am.
Any knowledge of Dangerous Goods, CoR, HVNL or allocating will be looked upon favourably, as will any experience as a delivery driver with relevant licenses.
All training regarding Dangerous Goods can be provided.
