Mid-Western Region Council has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Fleet Technical Assistant! This position will work with and support the Workshop and Fleet Coordinator to ensure the efficient and effective administration of the workshop and to act as the initial point of contact for customer enquiries. Key AccountabilitiesTo work effectively as part of the Fleet team providing technical and administrative assistance in the delivery of fleet projects and programs, and provide support to the Workshop and Fleet Coordinator to achieve Council’s objectives.
Maintain and coordinate the scheduling of Council’s fleet maintenance and repair requirements. Coordinate Council’s annual registration process and inspection booking with the RMS, being RMS signatory. Coordinate insurance claims and repairs relating to Council’s fleet.
Support Council’s workshop staff with parts interpretation and supply requirements. Assist with Council’s Fleet replacement as requested including request for quote processesAssist in warranty claim investigations and reporting. Assist in the disposal of fleet assets as required.
