What's the job?Responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and strategic direction across the Food and Beverage operation of the resort; maximising financial returns, driving development of people, creating and maintaining unique guest experiences, executing on brand standards, and building awareness of the resort, its product offerings and brand in the local community. In addition, the role is also responsible for ensuring compliance with all governmental regulations concerning health, safety, or other licensing and applicable legislative requirements.
Your day to dayWe are seeking a dynamic leader to join our team as the Food & Beverage Manager. This role involves collaborating with the Director of F&B and Human Resources to develop training programs, SOPs, and induction manuals that enhance team member engagement and align with our resort brand service standards. Key responsibilities include succession planning, performance management, and providing guidance to Venue Managers on daily staffing requirements.
You will also ensure compliance with governmental regulations, promote teamwork and quality service, and oversee salary, disciplinary, and HR-related actions in accordance with company policies. In addition to team management, you will drive responsible business practices by creating safe environments, engaging in community relations, and implementing environmental sustainability measures. You will lead local Food and Beverage marketing initiatives, manage inventory and HACCP activities, and develop health and safety procedures.
The role also focuses on enhancing guest satisfaction, responding to guest feedback, and maintaining facilities in collaboration with other departments. Financial responsibilities include budget preparation, expense control, revenue maximization, and securing financial transactions, all aimed at achieving operational success and providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
What we need from youWe are looking for enthusiastic and professional team players who knows how to deliver great service and exceed guest expectations.Ideally you will have:Bachelor’s degree/higher education qualification/equivalent in Hotel Management, culinary arts, or related field plus 4+ years of related experience, including management experience.Must speak local language.You must have the ability to relocate and live on Hayman Island, QLD and commence position by 30 June 2024What we offerAnnual salary package of $95,000 + super on a permanent full time contract (Hayman Island Enterprise Agreement 2023) with a minimum of of 40 hours per week must have appropriate working right
