The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2-years’ hospitality experience in a similar role in a 4-5-star hotel/resort. A polite and pleasant manner, immaculate presentation and an eye for detail are essential along with a passion for providing excellent customer service and exceeding guests expectations. We require team players who are hardworking, reliable and true Food and Beverage professionals. You must be prepared to work a six-day week throughout the season and always maintain a sunny disposition.
The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for managing the day to day operations of The Loft Bar, Signature Restaurant to deliver an excellent guest experience while supervising a small team of staff and working within budgeted guidelines.
What will I be doing?
As Food and Beverage Manager, you will assist the the Loft bar supervisor and Kitchen team in managing the day to day operation of The Loft Bar and Restaurant to deliver an excellent guest experience. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards;
- Oversee the day to day operation of The Loft Bar and Signature Restaurant
- Maintain exceptional levels of customer service
- Supervise and provide on the job training to Food and Beverage team members
- Processing and reconciling EFTPOS and cash payments and end of shift handover according to procedure
- Monitoring the service and rotation of food to ensure the highest quality of product, liaising with the chefs as required
- Ensure service and preparation areas are hygienic, tidy and organised at all times
- Following food safety guidelines at all times when serving/handling food
- Ensure communication meetings are conducted prior to shift changes
- Monitoring and ordering of stock and consumables
- Planning and directing functions and events
- Assist other departments wherever necessary or as directed and maintain good working relationships
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, liquor compliance and all health and safety legislation
What are we looking for?

- Supervisory experience in a similar role
- Passion for delivering exceptional levels of customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- POS Experience
- Coffee/barista experience
- Strong knowledge of wine and cocktails
- Basic food preparation skills
- Resilience and ability to work under pressure in a fast-past environment
- Problem solving skills
- Excellent grooming standards
- Willingness to develop team members and self
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
- Ability to work individually and in a team
- Current Victorian RSA certification
- Food Handlers Certificate
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions;
- Industry-relevant Certificate or Diploma qualification
- Extensive experience in Food and Beverage operations in a 4-5 star hotel
- Australian resident or must have a current working visa for Australia
- Seasonal Work- Available from May to end of September 2024.
