An established resort, Heron Island accommodates up to nearly 300 guests with the primary draw card being located right on the Great Barrier Reef. There is a marine center, activities center, boutique, award-winning day spa, spacious lounge and bar overlooking the pool plus the expansive Shearwater Restaurant. Marine activities for guests and staff include world-class diving, snorkeling, kayaking and cruises.
Our Shearwater Restaurant is open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is an expansive hot and cold buffet style of a very high and generous standard. Lunch is a la carte focusing on light to medium meals. Dinner is a variety of multi-selection buffet and a la carte.
We are now specifically seeking applications for an innovative and experienced Food and Beverage Manager.
What you will bring to the role;
- Minimum 5 years-experience working as a Food & Beverage Manager or equivalent experience in a resort or hospitality environment
- Ability to motivate and lead by example.
- Excellent time management skills including speed and efficiency
- Manage budgets, control costs and optimize revenue through effective pricing, promotion and inventory management.
- Manage all Food & Beverage operational aspects in collaboration with your leadership team.
- Excellent communication and guest relation skills
- Responsible Management of Licensed Premises.
- Friendly and flexible disposition that demonstrates a high level of professionalism
- Can do attitude who works safely at all times!
