The Opportunity

Parkside Carindale Retirement Living is a premium, resort-style retirement living community and we have exciting plans for our on-site cafe! As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you'll enjoy working in a small but friendly hospitality environment to deliver friendly, high-quality service to the residents & guests dining in our cafe. You'll be a great communicator focusing on delivering a high standard of customer service, and enjoy supporting the residents whilst providing a happy social environment. Located in Carindale, you'll enjoy working in a small, close-knit team!

This is a fixed-term part-time position working: Monday 9-2pm, Tuesday 11-4pm, Friday 11-4pm, Saturday 7.30-12pm and Sunday 9-2pm. This position is fixed until September as we trial these new hours, with the view to make this permanent.

You will

• Provide a high level of customer service to residents dining in the cafe (taking orders, payments and enquiries)
• Assisting with the preparation of menu food and beverage items (including barista coffee)
• Completing cafe opening and closing tasks 
• Follow all kitchen and restaurant hygiene practices (which will include general cleaning and washing up)

What you'll bring

• A friendly and warm persona with a passion for building relationships and chatting with residents!
• Experience in a cafe, restaurant or customer service environment (highly regarded)
• Barista experience (highly regarded)
• Current Police check (required, but we can complete for you!)
• Minimum of two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
