As the Food and Beverage Manager you will oversee the day-to-day front of house operations across beverage and bistro departments. In conjunction with the General Manager the Food and Beverage Manager will create, train, and drive standards across service, product & presentation. Focus on driving exceptional customer service supporting visitation, beverage sales growth & ensuring all beverage offerings are relevant and fresh attracting a broad customer base. The main duties of the role include:- Oversee the daily operation, leading & working alongside the Club bars and bistro FOH teams ensuring seamless service, & maximising revenue potential;
- Create and agree on KPIs for bar and bistro front of house operations, including cost of goods sold and wastage variances;
- Oversee internal/external complaint resolution;
- Train new staff to provide a high-quality offering to members;
- Oversee booking management to maximise revenue;
- Work with the venue General Manager, Executive Manager – Food operations other related SLT members to create a relevant beverage menu/offering;
- Work closely with the Accounts department in relation to Swiftpos related matters;
- Assist the General Manager in investigating and resolving stock take issues and variances;
- Provide reports as requested;
- Ensure front of house staff adheres to the relevant legislative, regulatory, insurance and industry standards for Licensed Clubs; (Including but not limited to; liquor House Policy, RSA, privacy, security, WHS, hygiene, and environmental regulations).
- RSA & RCG accreditation;
- Relevant Food Safety Certification - or willing to obtain
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar management role;
- Extensive knowledge of bar operations and products (ie beer, wine, spirits, coffee);
- Extensive knowledge of front of house dining area operations;
- Experience managing a POS system;
- High level customer service skills;
- Confident decision maker and demonstrated ability to address and correct performance issues with front line staff;
- Flexibility to work a rotating shift roster.
