**Job Description:**
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Food Production Assistant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the food manufacturing kitchen, ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, and providing support to our Food Production team. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is able to multitask effectively, and possesses a strong work ethic.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping produce.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area, including washing utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies.
- Support production staff during service by replenishing supplies, clearing dishes, and maintaining a tidy workspace.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
**Requirements:**
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is must required
· Experience working in food manufacturing industry is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and take direction from senior staff members.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Flexibility to work more hours if required.
