The Role
In accordance with Agency policies, procedures, and guidelines, assist with food preparation, production, plating service, ware-washing, and cleaning duties in the provision of catering services to patients, visitors, and staff of the hospital.
- Assist in maintaining a high standard of food preparation, production, service, meal distribution, ware-washing, and cleaning of the hospital service areas and in accordance with the relevant codes of practice.
- Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation’s Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including in the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives, safeguarding practices for vulnerable people, and related training.
- Responsible for cleaning and sanitising all kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, and walls as directed by relevant supervisors and in accordance with relevant guidelines.

The Team:
- The position can cover either the morning or evening meal delivery service.
- Hours of work can be between 6:00am - 7.30pm on any given day, working no more than 8 hours in any one day.
- The role is Casual call in and you would be expected to cover shifts at short notice.
Details of Appointment
Multiple fixed term, casual positions, working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible, for approximately twenty (20) months.

Salary
$55,466 - $57,712 pro rata per annum + our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Plus 25% Casual loading - Equivalent of $35.08 to $36.50 per hour
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

- Relevant qualification/s in food preparation/production
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

- crimes involving dishonesty.
