Your new role
You will play an integral part of the Fraud Intelligence and Investigations Branch for an initial period of 12 months. Your primary responsibility will be to detect and respond to both internal and external payment fraud, and you will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to safeguard the Scheme’s financial sustainability.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrated investigative experience: Utilise your Government Investigations certification (or its equivalent) to conduct complex and sensitive criminal investigation activities in accordance with Departmental processes and Australian Government Investigation Standards.
- Analytical Skills: A keen eye for detail and the ability to analyse complex data to identify fraudulent patterns.
- Investigative Acumen: Experience in conducting thorough investigations, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, preparing affidavits and collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
- Understanding of Fraud Control: Familiarity with fraud control frameworks and strategies.
- Search Warrant Assistance: Willingness to assist with executing search warrants, which may involve domestic travel, overnight stays, and extended hours.
- Workflow Management: this role may involve team leadership responsibilities, including the setting of priorities and managing of workflows for a team
You must be an Australian Citizen and be eligible to apply for an NV1 Clearance.
