We’re in search of a talented and passionate Frontend Developer to join our team, focusing on developing, maintaining, and enhancing best-in-class e-commerce experiences on Shopify Plus.
About the Role:
In this role, you'll be an integral part of a dedicated, cross-functional squad, including developers, designers, strategic consultants, and project managers. Reporting to our Technical Director, you will support the technology stream by driving innovation and maintaining best practices across a modern toolkit. Your contributions will significantly impact our client base, aiding them in realising their e-commerce goals through superior omni-channel experiences.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within a dedicated squad to meet client goals and business objectives.
- Navigate through a planned program and roadmap of initiatives, tickets, and projects.
- Transform requirements and mockups into dynamic website features and enhancements.
- Stay ahead of the curve by continuously educating yourself on the latest development techniques and best practices.
- Communicate technical solutions clearly to both team members and clients.
- Integrate new digital technologies and development techniques to meet client goals.
- Focus on improving performance, conversion rates, and implementing A/B tests.
What We’re Looking For:
- Demonstrated commercial experience in a frontend development role, agency experience preferred.
- Expertise in modern cross-browser HTML5+, ES6+, and CSS3+ (SCSS).
- Proficiency with the React JavaScript framework and experience with TypeScript, Vue.
- Skill in using Shopify Liquid for templating and building high-quality, responsive layouts.
- A commitment to best practice modular web development and fluency in GIT.
- Ability to work with third-party APIs (Restful and GraphQL) and a keen awareness of web performance, accessibility, and SEO best practices.
- Experience with agile environments, scrum teams, and exceptional communication skills.
Bonus Points For:
- A passion for design and collaboration with design teams.
- Experience with Continuous integration/deployment, headless CMS (e.g., Contentful), CSS in JS (Styled Components, Emotion), and tools like Zeplin.
- Familiarity with other e-commerce platforms (Magento, BigCommerce, Hybris, Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
- A strong desire for continuous improvement and learning, ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Experience with backend languages, writing tests, understanding client-side security, client-server architectures, and an active Github account.
