The GURNER™ Wellness division was born through a deep passion for health and wellness and a profound desire to help people live their most ultimate life. Our luxurious private clubs serve as sanctuaries for both body and mind, inviting members to shed stress, revitalise their energy, forge connections, and ultimately, elevate their wellbeing to unprecedented levels. Our first club has been an incredible success. We are now in an exciting growth phase, looking for the next team of champions (both FT and PT roles) to shape our brand new South Yarra club, opening in the coming months!

The Position

We’re looking for passionate, motivated individuals who excel at creating wholesome, memorable, premium experiences for our members. If you thrive on building genuine connections, have a knack for reading people’s needs, and have hospitality experience (café, fine dining, hotels), we want to hear from you. As a member of our Front of House Team, you’ll ensure our members’ and guests’ needs are exceeded through thoughtful, innovative touches—from filling a water bottle for someone over on the treadmill, through to recommending a personalised wellness and recovery plan to a regular member. 

You’ll be an inspirational role model who inspires our member’s to enhance their wellbeing, with advice and tips about our extensive offering. Immaculate presentation and a commitment and passion to elevating each member’s experience are essential.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Hospitality services such as cocktail (sans alcohol), tincture and tonics and associated services
  • Providing unparalleled member experiences, understanding member's preferences and anticipating needs, and making every member's experience feels world class and special
  • Checking members and guests into the facility, classes and/or wellness treatment areas
  • Educating members on the broad array of Saint Haven offerings that we deliver, to inspire them to become even more vital and well
  • Answer any facility-based questions that members and guests have or being solution-driven in your approach to efficiently gain provide answers
  • Interacting with members and guests in a respectful, professional, calm and authentic manner 
  • Providing impeccable communication with members and peers
  • Oversee and assist with general cleanliness, restocking and tidiness of Front of House, bar, gym, wellness centre and locker rooms
  • Creating a positive atmosphere for members and guests
  • Completing opening and closing tasks
  • Assisting with retail sales and staying knowledgeable with all retail sales offerings
  • Always presenting yourself in a professional, brand aligned manner

The Successful Candidate

  • You have significant experience in the hospitality industry, including but not limited to hotel and restaurant experience or experience in a spa and wellness centres in concierge or similar roles.
  • You have a genuine interest in personal health and wellness.
  • You have a willingness to learn and stay up to date with the latest in health and wellbeing trends and Saint Haven offerings.
  • You are member obsessed! You know what it takes to make someone feel special – you understand that customer service extends beyond answering questions. You seek to curate experiences and anticipate needs.
  • You are people focused - you are genuine, honest and operate with integrity. You thrive on watching your team succeed and develop their skills and experience.
  • You are self-assured, patient, listen intently, speak clearly, and are comfortable communicating at all levels.
  • You are driven, perceptive, ask questions and always strive to understand the bigger picture.
  • You must be available to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

We seek people who love meaningful connections and take joy in making others feel cared for and important.

On the 22nd and 23rd of June, we are hosting our incredible Casting Call days. This event will allow us to meet the wonderful, engaging, and passionate people who will become our new club champions. Over two days, we’ll have the chance to connect with express ‘Meet & Greets’ on Saturday and ‘Group Workshops’ on Sunday. We are excited to meet you at one (or two) these sessions!
