About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Front Office Supervisor to join our dynamic Front Office team at Kingfisher Bay Resort on beautiful K'gari. In this role you will provide outstanding front desk customer service in a professional and efficient manner, maintain accurate guest information records and effectively supervise and lead our amazing Guest Service Agents and Porters in daily Front Office operations. This position requires you to live and work on the island at Kingfisher Bay Resort.
Role Responsibilities
- To supervise and assist with guest check in and check out process.
- Accurately allocate rooms and check allocations.
- Directing all guests to the appropriate check in/meeting area, whether it is a tour or FIT guest.
- Coordinate, where required bus arrivals and guest arrivals.
- Monitor and supervising Guest service agents.
- Perform check in, accurately obtain and process all guest registration information, issue keys and resort information.
- Count float prior to shift and count and balance float during the day and before Cashing up at end of shift.
- Be familiar and knowledgeable about all resort facilities and location of all guest rooms.
- Direct guests to rooms on arrivals.
- Be familiar with room rates and reservation information.
- Always provide accurate information to guests.
- Maintain guest accounts, billing arrangements and payments on check out.
- Assure that your daily checklist is complete prior to signing off from shift.
- Follow in house policies and procedures to maintain guest security.
- Take guest messages and ensure prompt delivery to room.
- Assist guests with all general enquiries.
- Ensure all daily shift checklists are completed.
- Provide training and development for guest service agents.
- Ensure VIP guest and Accor members are recognised on arrival.
- Check room drops for VIP and Accor guest.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required
- Min. 2 years' experience in a supervisor role
- Previous hotel or resort experience highly regarded
- Experience in operations software i.e. Sihot, Maxial and Respax
- Extraordinarily high level of customer service and work ethic
- Demonstrated experience in daily cashiering procedures, credit card reconciliation
- Knowledge of property management systems
- Demonstrate people management skills and an understanding of cultural diversity within the workplace
