Front Office Receptionist – The Role
Offering best-in-class customer service, you will be the first point of contact for all Essence guests and visitors. You will make accurate and timely reservations, respond to enquiries via phone and email in a proficient manor and endeavour to achieve a positive guest experience for all. Putting your upselling techniques to good use, you will promote our properties and the Essence brand to maximise room occupancy and promote available hotel services and facilities. Employing your knowledge of local areas, you will offer insights and make recommendations to our guests during their visit.
Experience & Skills
We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic team members to come and join our vibrant team. Your engaging and bubbly personality, along with your exceptional communication skills will contribute to enhancing the overall guest experience from the first welcome through to farewell. You will be comfortable with working in an adaptive environment, and will have the ability to remain calm, efficient and organised during our busy periods. Previous hotel/guest reservations experience is highly regarded to ensure the successful applicant is provided with a smooth introduction to our booking processes.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Operating the front desk reception with a focus on providing excellent customer service
- Acquire knowledge of the local area, facilities and services close to our Taringa and Chermside locations
- Coordinate the booking process, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail are maintained
- Undertake administrative duties such as handling of incoming and outgoing mail, filing and responding to correspondence.
- Be actively involved in the promotion of Essence properties to maximise room occupancy and revenue by using upselling techniques to to bolster hotel services and facilities at every opportunity
- Enter conference and event booking information into the Property Management System, paying close attention to detail.
- Valid Working Rights in Australia and New Zealand
- National Police Check
