FRP STRUCTURES SUPERVISORS – BRISBANE, GOLD COAST AND SURROUNDS
Hawthorne Civil is enjoying rapid growth and are now seeking experienced and capable FRP Supervisors to support projects in Brisbane, Gold Coast and surrounds.
Our supervisors are integral to the success of our project delivery and are responsible for ensuring construction is carried out in a cost-effective manner, while maintaining a high level of safety and risk management for workers. Supervisors liaise with contractors, employees, senior staff, clients and suppliers, representing Hawthorne Civil to deliver to our customers’ needs.

About the Role:
You will have direct supervision of site staff and subcontractors associated with our construction jobs and will be responsible for ensuring all works are constructed to contracted level and within the allocated program timeframe safely and correctly.
You will monitor and satisfy the requirements of all workplace health and safety obligations by all employees and subcontractors, along with completing necessary site administration and reporting including daily diary entries, site supervisors’ logs and site reports as needed.
Our Project Manager may seek recommendations from you for specific project operational decisions, tapping into your sound judgement and decision-making skills, and you will often be asked to report on project progress to the General Manager and senior leadership team.
Further tasks include but are not limited to:
• Ensure daily dockets are completed for all workers
• Order/purchase materials for site as required
• Schedule deliveries of material
• Prepare submissions, reports and other correspondence associated with construction activities and Work Health & Safety as required
• Take weekly photos of construction progress
• Ensure all prestart documents prepared and ready and lead prestart meetings
• Ensure site is secured each day
• Ensure all vehicles, plant and equipment are site ready
• Organise inspections
• Assist PM with collection and preparation of all certifications and manuals for submissions to the client within the terms of the contract.
About You:
You will have demonstrable experience leading teams on complex construction projects within the local industry. You are comfortable managing teams to deliver project outcomes, and are savvy with problem solving, multitasking and have the confidence to escalate issues as required.
You will have experience managing crews and promoting, supporting and facilitating teamwork amongst all team members, fostering a positive attitude and bringing to life the values of the company at all times. You can work within the ‘grey’, maintain your composure under pressure and you always follow through on your promises.
