Full Time Baker / Pastry Chef

Fika is looking for a passionate Full time Pastry Chef/ Baker to join our team in our Bakery in Manly.
Fika opened in June 2013 and has quickly become one of Manly's most popular coffee shops. Specialising in Nordic cuisine, Scandinavian inspired food, Fika has become a local's favorite, buzzing with regulars and tourists from all over the world.
In 2019 Fika opened a cafe in Bondi, followed by Fika's Bakery in 2022.
Fika's Bakery is hiring a Pastry chef with previous experience in the industry.
Key areas of responsibility are:
- Daily operations of the Bakery premises in Manly
- Leading a team of pastry cooks to bake bread, buns and other pastry delights and cookies
- Innovate pastry stills from past experience is a huge advantage in this position
- Create and design seasonal Swedish pastry menu for dine in and take away
- Check compliance with NSW health and safety rules
- Check and order raw materials and quality control
- Assist the shop owners in providing training to local pastry cooks
This is a daytime position with exceptions of working evenings occasionally. Weekend work is essential.
