Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated Full-Time Chef to join our esteemed culinary team at Puffing Billy Cafe and Bar. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to showcase their skills and contribute to the success of our renowned establishment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute a diverse menu of dishes with creativity, precision, and attention to detail, in line with our culinary standards and guest expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Collaborate closely with our culinary team to develop seasonal menus, daily specials, and innovative culinary offerings that highlight local and seasonal ingredients.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and place orders for kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed to support menu execution.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with management to control food costs, optimize kitchen operations, and uphold the highest standards of quality and consistency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Chef in a professional kitchen environment, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes that delight our guests.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, demonstrating excellent time management, organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Salary Range: $65,000 to $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
