Based in the heart of Paddington, Darling & Co is a thriving multi-faceted venue offering a-la-carte dining, a cocktail bar and three private function spaces with the ability to host events for up to 700 people.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Functions Sales Manager to join the team in a primarily Monday to Friday role with occasional weekends. Duties will include many of the following and as such experience in all of these areas is important:
- Leading the customer service experience & working with the team to deliver it 100% every day. Nurture a positive, welcoming and warm culture.
- Managing all inbound sales enquiries online, over the phone and in person in a time sensitive manner as well as generating leads through outbound sales.
- Be supportive of the operational team, working closely with the Functions Manager ensuring clear communication and handover of all booked Functions & Events.
- Generating and nurturing new and current client relationships
- Developing and implementing strategies to increase enquiries and conversion rates.
- Regular reporting on position KPIs
About You
- A minimum of two years' of Function & Event Management, both operational and sales-based experience essential.
- Sales-driven attitude with a warm and friendly approach.
- Confident and comfortable communicating in person, electronically and by phone to a wide range of clients from those hosting large corporate events through to weddings and any manner of parties, high teas and themed events.
- Previous experience with Ivvy, Sevenrooms and H&L POS systems preferred but not essential.
- Computer skills required and any marketing experience will be looked upon favourably.
