As the Fundraising & Development Manager, you will be pivotal in building and expanding their donor relationships. Reporting directly to the Board, you will work collaboratively with the founder, ensuring the success of the Fundraising and Development efforts. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a medical-impact not-for-profit with a life-changing cause.
About the role:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy and portfolio to build long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with the founder to introduce potential donors to their mission, ensuring a meaningful impact.
- Liaise with research teams within a university setting to deepen your understanding of our organisation's work.
- Utilise existing donor databases and establish new channels for outreach.
- Organise annual Gala events, securing attendance, planning corporate partnerships, and facilitating strategic conversations.
- Set up regular appeals and donor care communications, highlighting the impact of funds raised and capturing patient stories.
- Provide regular updates to the innovative and supportive Board
- Background in fundraising or development with a proven ability to build lasting partnerships.
- Exceptional people skills, with the ability to engage and communicate effectively.
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of responsibilities.
- Confidence in representing the organisation at in-person meetings and networking events.
- System-savvy, with experience in implementing new systems; knowledge of marketing platforms is advantageous.
- Extensive experience in corporate engagement/sponsorship/business development roles.
- Valid driver's license required.
