AddressRecruitment Vision is currently seeking a Gardener/General Handy-person to look after our clients residential Aged Care facilities. This role would suit someone with general maintenance or gardening background. You will be working independently and liaising with contractors when needed.
Our client is an Industry leader with a heritage of service spanning 160 years, they serve older people and those who are vulnerable or marginalised by providing a range of accommodation, care and community services. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced gardener/Handy-person to undertake general maintenance duties for one of their sites in Adelaide.
Key responsibilities:
• Ensures that maintenance duties are completed in a safe, efficient and effective way by following specified policies and procedures with special attention to all aspects of safety;
• Assisting the maintenance department across all areas, which can include gardening, internal building repairs and Maintenance.
• Participating in workplace consultation activities and actively participating in any other safety activities as prescribed in the WHSIMS.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience needed:
• Previous experience in a general maintenance role
• A current SA driver’s license.
• A current police check will be required
• All applicants must be fully vaccinated and have up to date Flu vaccination
Passion for assisting older people and working in Aged Care.
• Previous experience in the Aged Care environment will be highly regarded
