Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Maintenance Officer who can provide timely maintenance services within an Aged Care facility based at Salisbury. You will need to have a professional and empathetic nature, know your way around documentation, and can perform basic maintenance or coordinate Trades for more technical repairs. This role is offering between $35 and $40 per hour.
As part of the team, undertaking both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks throughout the residence. This includes equipment and plant monitoring, grounds upkeep, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
What can you expect to be doing?
- Perform repairs and general maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, and minor equipment repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to uphold the safety and functionality of the facility.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize disruptions and ensure resident satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and families, demonstrating empathy and understanding of the needs of aged residents.
- Participate in and contribute to quality improvement of the facility
- Capture maintenance tasks involving reasonable timeframes, outcomes and budgets
- Ensure all equipment is operated and serviced in accordance with site procedures and/or manufacturer's instructions
- Previous experience in the same capacity will be highly regarded
- Exceptional customer service skills and an ability to maintain confidentiality
- Passion to work in Aged Care
- Valid National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
- Valid Working with vulnerable people check (or willing to obtain)
- TGA approved COVID-19 vaccinations and recent Influenza vaccination
- Full driver's licence
