Job description
You will bring a broad understanding of public sector administrative and employment law with experience appearing at various courts and tribunals. Your strategic, innovative and legal acumen will convey high-level advice on complex litigation on behalf of key decision-makers, including the Attorney-General and the Director-General. You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing best practice legal services policy and practice across the Queensland Government, navigating highly complex stakeholder engagement and relationships. You will collaborate with legal service providers, ensuring value for money, quality and timeliness in all legal undertakings.
You will oversee three business units, cultivating a high-performing team culture of personal accountability with a focus on physical and psychosocial wellbeing. Your quality and timely legal advice to decision-makers while translating legalese into operational responses will be highly regarded. Your experience will reflect significant levels of autonomy and delegation, and your expertise will drive and foster continuous improvements in service delivery.
