Our client has been operating in the Northern Territory for more than 25 years. They offer a turnkey service in way of the design, manufacture, delivery, commissioning, asset services support and complete facilities management services.
They possess the ability to build and installation of up to 400 room camp facilities. Their custom made buildings are available across all aspects of all commercial and domestic uses including schools, public services, mining, farming, remote housing, emergency situations and general accommodation. Temporary accommodation available for outstations and communities.
About the Role…
After 15 years as the GM, the incumbent is retiring and the owner/Managing Director seeks to appoint a new GM to take over the operational aspect of the business. The MD is hands on and is there to offer support and training to the incoming GM (there will also be a solid handover period with the outgoing GM).
Responsibilities will include;
• Ensuring the profitability of the business
• Estimating
• Supplier negations
• Authorise sub-contractor/supplier invoices
• Customer contract negotiations
• Tender submissions
• Oversee HSE and HR
• Participate in pre-production and monthly meetings
About You…
In fitting in with the hands on and team culture of the business, you will need to have sound knowledge of the building industry and have top notch communication skills. As a natural leader, you will work within all areas of the business and must be willing to jump in and help out the team wherever required.
