About the Role
As a General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business forward, focusing on managing the business on Linehaul Express Australia – Aramex. You will have the opportunity to develop and implement strategies, manage budgets, coordinate cross-functional activities, and maintain high standards of performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement policies and strategies toward the overall achievement of long-term business objectives and compliance with government and statutory legislation's.
- Assess short & long-term needs, trends, problems and profit opportunities
- Establish the organisation’s objectives, programs, standards and targets within guidelines set by the board.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts for approval
- Coordinate the activities of all functional areas ensuring appropriate communication between them
- Implement approved program, monitoring performance against budget
- Maintain appropriate human resource strategies to facilitate achievement of the organisations’ objectives
- May undertake responsibility for some, or all, of accounting, sales marketing or other specialist operations
To be successful in this role:
- A clear vision for transport/distribution in a service environment
- Successful track record of general management in a service business.
- Experience with corporate responsibilities including secretarial, share registry, member meetings and ASIC.
- Proven experience in financial reporting including P&L, BAS statements, budgets, forecasts, cash flow mgt, debtors, creditors, negotiations and bad debts/legal.
- Proven experience in transport specific functions including levy calculation, levy formula, route/capacity evaluation, 24/7 operations.
