General Manager - QRI Village & Coppabella Township

QRI seeks a driven and experienced General Manager to lead our integrated township operations encompassing the QRI Village Accommodation Centre and Coppabella township in Central QLD.
Coppabella is a key service hub for the surrounding coal mines and a cornerstone community for the mining personnel working in the vast Bowen Basin. Its infrastructure supports not just the industry but also provides a quality lifestyle for the residents who call it home.
As a key leadership team member, you will be entrusted with the township's financial performance, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and resident/tenant well-being.
About the Role:
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic vision for the township's long-term growth and sustainability.
- Oversee all aspects of township management, ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe operations.
- Water Treatment Plant, Sewerage Treatment Plant, and adherence to Fire and Electrical Safety standards.
- Maintenance of vital township infrastructure including roads and communal facilities.
- Upkeep of commercial facilities, including a large scale Commercial Kitchen.
- Management of heavy and medium equipment, such as mowers and tractors.
- Maintenance of the Accommodation Centre incorporating a 300-bed mine camp
- Provide financial leadership, managing the annual budget and maximising profitability.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, stakeholders, the Board of Directors and Shareholder.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment and township.
- Foster a strong community spirit and implement initiatives to enhance the resident experience.
- Lead a team of dedicated professionals and provide strategic direction for all HR functions.
You will be successful if you have:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in senior leadership or general management.
- Proven experience and track record of leading complex organisations and achieving strategic objectives.
- Strong understanding of township management principles and best practices.
- Excellent financial acumen with experience in budgeting, management, and reporting.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships.
