Bass Island Line (BIL) provides a safe and dedicated shipping service for the King Island community. We operate a weekly direct service between the Port of Grassy on King Island and the Port of Devonport. BIL also offers a seamless transhipment service to the Port of Melbourne, Victoria. BIL is a wholly owned subsidiary of the state-owned company, TasPorts. TasPorts is responsible for eleven Tasmanian ports and the Devonport Airport. The Role
The General Manager of Bass Island Line (BIL) is responsible for the BIL business unit, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient shipping services for King Island freight. Operating independently as the senior leader of the subsidiary company, you will manage business performance, assets, personnel, and customer relationships. We are seeking a General Manager to drive business performance through the development of expert knowledge of the King Island shipping market.
