Our client is a leading player in the retail and wholesale industry, committed to delivering quality products and exceptional customer service. An exciting career opportunity now exists for a highly commercial General Manager with outstanding people leadership capability to head up this group across 9 significant sites and a team of 380.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute Retail strategy that drives network growth including acquisitions and divestments
Full responsibility of P&L targets
Drive annual budgeting and forecasting processes
Partner with Sales & Operations team to champion continuous improvement
Actively drive new business integrations
Build a high-performance culture
Manage the margin, inventory, capex management and net working capital
Driving a safety culture to meet compliance and governance
Ideal candidate
Proven experience as a General Manager in a strategic leadership capacity across multiple functions
Stakeholder management experience such as developing strategic partnerships and influencing key people across the business will be critical
Experience setting and delivering operational budgets and KPI’s
Proven track record designing and implementing successful sales and growth strategies
P&L management and accountability
Experience in negotiations and acquisitions
Qualifications:
Outstanding people leadership capability to build a high-performing team
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
In-depth knowledge of retail operations and industry trends.
Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
