The Opportunity:
We are now accepting internal applications for the position of General Manager, Beverage Can. This is a great opportunity for an astute and strategic leader to have a tremendous impact in shaping the future state of the Beverage Can business in Australia and New Zealand.
The Role:
Reporting to the Director of Primary Packaging, you will be part of the Primary Packaging Leadership Team, and a key contributor to the direction of the division.
Based in Clayton, Victoria, you will hold accountability for the Beverage Can business in Australia and New Zealand, including financial performance, revenue and sales targets, achieving strategic long-term goals, whilst continuing high performance in day-to-day operations across a multi-site network, in a highly competitive market.
Your success will come from your ability to:
Lead a large and complex business with manufacturing facilities in Clayton, Coburg (VIC), Yatala (QLD), Smithfield (NSW) and Wiri (NZ).
Drive operational excellence and manage network capacity in a growing segment.
Maintain and grow current business, customer relationships.
Make strategic commercial decisions on capital spend to grow business and leverage operational expertise.
Lead a diverse team with safety, operational excellent, quality and cost control the business’s core priorities.
Manage a P&L within a challenging environment.
Experience & Qualifications you will bring:
Tertiary qualifications relevant to the role
Significant senior managerial, commercial, and operational experience in manufacturing, with General Management experience highly regarded.
Senior leadership experience in a multi-site environment, preferable within a highly regulated, high-speed or FMCG industry
A proven commitment to HSE and Compliance
