The CRG division specialises in providing, laundering and sterilising personal protection garments and cleaning equipment. At our purpose built facility in Carrum Downs, VIC we process the garments and cleaning equipment in a way that allows our customers to meet all appropriate Australian standards for their controlled production environments. The facility is supported by a fully managed national logistics service which provides on-time garment delivery and pick up for customers across Australia.
The Role
We are offering a unique career opportunity for a General Manager to play an instrumental role in setting the strategic direction of an independent business unit which enormous growth potential. You will be looking after 2 sites (one in Carrum Downs, VIC and one in Glendenning, NSW) and a team of around 100 passionate employees. This role will be based in Melbourne VIC.
We are looking for someone that is confident in running an operation in which meeting quality standards is critical, who brings experience growing a business and driving service excellence. Working closely with our senior leaders, you will be responsible for:
- Building a business strategy that will help us achieve our ambitious growth targets
- Working with our Operations teams to ensure a safe, efficient end to end process that meets all industry standards
- Leading the Sales and Business Development teams growing our presence in existing industries, and diversifying into new ones
- Driving a culture of service excellence and helping drive our customer experience forward
- Owning the P&L and managing your budgets effectively
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field
- Proven experience (minimum of 7 years) in operations management within manufacturing or a similar industry, with demonstrated success in leadership roles
- Experience leading a BD/Sales team and driving growth
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid understanding of financial management and budgeting processes
- Experience in driving organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience in pharmaceutical or other organisations working with clean rooms and strict quality control standards highly desirable
