Warringah Day Surgery is part of the Nexus Hospitals group which employs over 1600 talented and passionate people across 27 hospitals, as well as 3 support offices.
Located in Brookvale in Sydney's picturesque Northern Beaches, Warringah Day Surgery has two Operating Theatres and provides a variety of specialties including Gastroenterology, Opthalmology, ENT, Paediatrics, Oral/ Maxillofacial, and General Surgery. We are dedicated to ensuring our patients receive outstanding care.
About the RoleReporting to the Operations Director, you will lead the continuous development of our hospital team and will ensure high standards of clinical supervision, governance and safety. Imperative to your success in this role will be delivering exceptional clinical outcomes.
- Operational, commercial and financial management of the hospital
- Lead monthly P&L reviews
- Manage workforce planning of employees while building positive relationships with Visiting Medical Officers
- Maintain compliance through regular audits and adherence to NSQHSS and ISO standards
- Occasionally assist in theatre when the need arises
- Ensure the safety of our patients and promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence across all areas of the hospital
You have a genuine passion for nursing and leading people, providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. As the General Manager / Director of Nursing you will be an energetic leader with proven experience in operational and people management. You will have:
- Solid experience in a comparable role within the Perioperative environment
- A strong nursing career with a background in Scrub / Scout or Anaesthetic roles
- A proactive “make it happen” approach
- Proven experience in achieving commercial results
- Registration with AHPRA
