What you'll do:
Reporting to the Finance Director, WooliesX, and partnering with the eComX Senior Leadership Team, you will be entrusted with the leadership of the accomplished and high-performing eComX Finance team. eComX is an innovative, forward-thinking and rapidly growing part of the group. This highly visible position offers exposure to WooliesXCo will champion eCom finance capability across the broader Woolworths Group ecosystem.
As the finance guru for eComX, you'll be accountable for keeping the momentum, simultaneously driving performance in the present whilst planning for the future.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Directly leading and supporting the eComX Finance team in a way that empowers and influences, whilst fostering a culture that encourages openness and innovation.
- Playing a critical partner and advisor role in the eComX SLT
- Ensuring connectivity is maintained between eCom across the group, 360 Finance and Food Finance.
- Building and maintaining trusted partnerships with eComX, Woolworths at Work and HomeRun operations
- Contributing to the building and delivery of the strategic focus of the eComX business
- Galvanising the team to ensure commercial delivery of the financial targets set
- Monitoring and presenting results and outlook at monthly internal Business Performance Meetings and forecast meetings
- Facilitating the building of the 3 year budget targets including the strategic initiatives and overseeing the detailed budget build, ensuring it matches the top down ambition
- Collaborating with the eCom strategy and people enablement teams to drive business and team performance.
- Ensuring the accuracy of the eCom sales and profit result (reported externally). Actively working to reduce reporting or governance risks and driving process improvement to reduce manual workload and risks.
- CA or CPA qualified
- An inspirational leader of leaders with a minimum of 10 years experience in Senior Finance Partnering roles
- Ideally deep digital or eCom experience at an executive level with retail and board exposure
- Strong in business partnering and contributing to strategy and commercial objectives
- Highly influential with the ability to develop productive and robust internal partnerships at the highest levels across a complex matrixed organisation
- Operationally driven, with a proven track record of implementing and delivering effective business strategies in a fast paced, commercial context.
- Able to anticipate and respond to changes in an effective way
- Personal qualities that align with our purpose, values and ways of working
