Role Description
We are an Australian owned Facility Services business that has been proudly operating for over 30 years. We have expanded in capability and experience across a wide range of industries to a presence that proudly services hundreds of commercial properties across Australia every day. We directly employ a team of over 400 staff servicing our client base and are currently expanding to further meet our client needs. This expansion has seen us grow our commercial cleaning business into a portfolio of services for property managers, including Grounds Maintenance, Landscaping, Pest Control and Property Maintenance, providing a more compelling offer to customers.
As a key member of our company’s Executive Team, this role is to lead the daily management and operational delivery of our Facilities Division, which is broken into:
- Central Labour Planning (monitoring daily operations)
- Operations Management (leading daily duty management and dispersed team of supervisors)
- Workforce Oversight (leading a team of over 400 staff working remotely across Australia)
- Client Relationship Management
Commercial understanding and a strong sense of customer service will be critical to the success of this role, with our in-house planning software providing transparency on attendances and optimised planning.
Job Scope:
- Leadership of our Facilities Division, which is broken into:
- Central Planning Team (Recruiting, Planning, Monitoring)
- Field Operations Team (Operations Managers, Field Supervisors)
- Relationship Management
With the support of your Team, key accountabilities are;
- Understanding client SLA's and ensure that service levels are maintained or exceeded as part of operational planning.
- Drive continued developments in our IT system to ensure transparency on activities.
- Support early assessment of labour and materials requirements for all sales opportunities.
- Once clients approve work, begin planning labour, subcontractors and materials in advance of labour being on site.
- Regularly manage scheduling of projects and adjustments to schedules to support client dates
- Ensure effective planning of an scheduled and unscheduled works, with a view to ensuring cost effective planning.
- A rigid focus on driving an outcome for the client
- Review new methods of planning/work execution in order to achieve efficiencies/
- Manage subcontractors to the same standard as our own direct labour.
- Oversight on budgets, plan changes and time frames to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Managing a suitable quality assurance overlay to ensure that our work remains high quality, and that proof of work is recorded in our audit systems to support invoicing and disputes.
- Managing OHS and safety across our teams.
- Sales support, customer service and relationship managment with clients.
Skills/Education/Experience:
- Minimum 5 years experience in the a comparable management roles leading service outcomes.
- Skills in labour management & planning, an in depth commercial mindset
- Strong ability to use IT systems Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Ability to be self-motivated with strong time management skills
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Outstanding communication, negotiation and organization skills
