SANE is the leading national mental health organisation for people with persistent, recurring or complex mental health issues and trauma.
We provide a range of free digital and telehealth services to support them and their families. Led by the voices of its community, SANE drives change to improve the lives of those living with complex mental health issues and to end stigma and discrimination. About the role:
SANE is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the role of General Manager of Finance and Operations. As a leader in digital innovation, SANE is committed to providing innovative solutions in online telehealth and digital services and advocacy for people and families impacted by complex mental health issues and trauma.
The General Manager of Finance and Operations will play a critical role in driving the financial success and operational efficiency of the company. The role will provide timely, expert and strategic information and advice to SANE’s CEO and senior executive team to facilitate effective decisions.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Developing and implementing financial strategies to ensure the long-term financial health of the company.
Monitoring financial performance and prepare regular reports for senior management and stakeholders, including the Risk Management and Audit Committee and the Board.
Ensuring internal controls are in place, enforced and continuously improved.
Providing oversight to the human resources and workforce function, and management of risk in relation to people and safety matters.
Leading the strategic direction, planning, decision making and overall performance of the Finance and Operations team to ensure services align to business needs and organisational objectives.
Identifying growth opportunities and potential risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Leading risk management for the business and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Overseeing the development of partnering and coaching with members of SANE’s senior executive and management team to identify targeted human resources strategies and programs aligned to current and future business needs.
About You:
Experience
A professional who thrives in working in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA required.
Demonstrated experience in roles overseeing risk management, human resources and/or workplace health and safety.
Proven track record of success in a senior finance or operations role, preferably within the health sector, community services or not for profit environment.
Strong financial acumen, with the ability to analyse complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Demonstrated ability to drive operational efficiency and process improvement initiatives.
Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
Desirable
Previous experience in the not for profit sector and/or,
Previous experience in healthcare.
