We are currently recruiting on behalf of a global provider of International Student Vocational and English Language courses, delivering to thousands students per year across multiple campuses and states. With a great working culture and environment, this well-known premium training provider have recently registered as a Higher Education Provider, and are seeking an experienced Higher Education leader to join the team as General Manager - Higher Education.
The General Manager is tasked with leading the institution through strategic, operational, and academic excellence. This pivotal role aims to elevate the HEP's position as a premier provider, ensuring outstanding educational outcomes and a transformative learning experience for students. The General Manager will spearhead initiatives to expand educational offerings, enhance its reputation, and foster a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and excellence in learning.
The role is based in the Sydney CBD Campus, leading a Dean and Registrar directly, and accessing shared services from Finance, HR, I.T. and Sales from the broader business.
Your duties in this role will include:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan that aligns with the company purpose, mission, vision and promises, focusing on academic excellence, student success, and financial stability.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and legal standards, actively managing risks and adapting to changes in the Higher Education sector
- In conjunction with the Governing Board and the Academic Board, support the design and continuous improvement of academic programs, incorporating innovative teaching methods and technologies to enhance learning outcomes.
- Lead interstate and international expansion plans and support the overall growth of the organisation.
- Through Shared Services, manage the institute's financial resources, including budgeting, financial reporting, and investment in resources to support strategic priorities.
- Strengthen relationships with industry, government, and academic partners to expand opportunities for collaboration, research, and student employability.
You must have the following skills to be successful in this role:
- Extensive Higher Education experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leading Higher Education position, e.g. PEO, CEO, COO, GM or similar.
- Outstanding and recognized administration skills, fostering information sharing effectively.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Australian Higher Education legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Remarkable leadership abilities, capable of mentoring and guiding a talented and diverse team to excellence.
- Skilled in crafting and executing strategic plans. Initiate and lead projects to successful outcomes.
- Ability to speak and present publicly and represent the company at industry conferences and forums, as needed.
