The role
We're seeking a dynamic leader to spearhead our core HR functions: People Business Partnering, Recruitment, Employee Relations and Remuneration and Workplace Health & Safety. This role involves designing and implementing effective frameworks for the respective departments while providing expert advice to the business. This role will report to the Associate Director of People Services and will work closely with the People & Culture Senior Leadership Team.

You'll lead, coach, and develop the HR teams to deliver operational excellence. As General Manager of HR, you'll influence the adoption of our values across the organisation, encourage adherence to company policies and HR procedures, and promote a culture of high performance with high integrity, demonstrating commercial discipline, ambition, effective risk management, and a One Team mindset.
Additionally, your key responsibilities will be focused on the following areas:
People Leadership:
- Lead, coach, and develop the HR team, ensuring operational excellence and a focus on employee experience.
- Manage direct reports, promoting continuous improvement and high performance.
- Celebrate successes and cultivate a culture of integrity and high performance.
ER, Remuneration and Workplace Health & Safety:
- Work with Head of ER, Remuneration and Safety to support the function
- Provide expert advice on complex employee relations issues and manage case frameworks.
- Lead Enterprise Agreement negotiations.
- Stay updated on legislative changes and enhance HR/WHS policies.
- Maintain and improve remuneration frameworks and review processes.
- Develop and report on WHS performance and trends.
- Build team capability and provide professional advice across the business.
People Business Partnering and Recruitment:
- Work with Head of People Business Partnering to support the People Business Partner team in defining and implementing People Plans.
- Oversee the Recruitment team to ensure timely hiring of quality candidates.
- Drive continuous improvement in People & Culture strategy implementation.
Qualifications and Experience:
You are an accomplished HR leader with a proven track record in driving performance and enhancing workplace culture. Skilled in People Business Partnering, Recruitment, Employee Relations and Remuneration and Workplace Health & Safety. You excel in strategic planning and team management. With strong commercial acumen and a focus on continuous improvement, you effectively address complex HR issues and implement frameworks that support business growth and employee satisfaction.
You will also possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field; postgraduate preferred.
- Proven ability to develop engaged, high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
- Experience in change management, relationship building, and commercial acumen.
- Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability.
