About the Role
We are looking for a progressive, motivated General Manager of IT who is not afraid to get their hands dirty, can lead a highly capable team and understand business requirements.
As the GM of IT you will lead and design our systems architecture to optimise and improve business process with a view of growth and continuous improvement as a priority.
You will have the ability to maintain and improve our current technology, whilst understanding the commercial impact and return on investment for the organisation globally.
A hands-on role, you will lead a capable team to achieve success whilst providing development and opportunity for the team. Creating relationships with all key stakeholders and understanding business requirements will assist you with balancing change management, budgets and achieving global business objectives.
Ideally you would have had experience working with manufacturing and customer software systems and processes. You will drive key project such as but not limited to:
- Review of EDI software and resourcing, establishing an ongoing solution
- QAD Upgrade
- Facilitate and resolve internally system issues and upgrades to NX and Team Centre and optimisation of
- Optimisation of network bandwidth and laptop media cards
- Lead reviews and upgrade of existing business software across the group.
- Work with business stakeholders to scope business requirements and systems to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Lead change management and training to all staff globally to enhance use of existing M365 suite of tools for improved productivity.
- Review of IT security with continuous improvements
- Review integration and interface of all systems across the group for improve productivity and processes.
- Any other IT requirements across our global organisation
About You:
You will achieve success in the role if you have had experience and qualifications in the following.
- You will have 5 years' experience in a similar role in multi-structure organisation, preferably globally.
- You have will have demonstrated experience in business improvement process through the implementation of IT strategies and architecture.
- You have demonstrated ability to work at an operational, tactical and strategic level to ensure changes are embedded and a solid return on investment is achieved.
- You are able to work at varied paces, in line with business requirements.
- You will have strong commercial acumen and make decision based on key business priorities.
- You will be resourceful, and solutions focused to all constraints, obstacles and issues, always with the end result in mind.
- You are able to lead and develop your team in line with the EGR culture and Standards
- You are comfortable and confident in sharing your ideas, experience and research on the best and latest technology for business improvement.
- You will have a Bachelor or Post Graduate Qualifications in a related field.
