ABOUT THE ROLE
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's daily operations as well as ensuring the achievement of financial and operational goals. You will lead various departments, including Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Customer Service, and Operations (Supply Chain and Logistics).
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, have a passion for the product, and the ability to drive growth and efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement business strategies to achieve growth targets, monitor industry trends, and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive advantage;
- Oversee financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and optimising profitability through cost management and revenue growth strategies;
- Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure efficient and effective processes, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain robust safety and quality control systems;
- Lead, mentor, and develop the management team, foster a positive work environment, and conduct performance evaluations;
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to drive sales and marketing strategies, enhance brand awareness, ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, and address customer issues promptly.
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred);
- Proven experience in a senior management role, preferably in the e-commerce space, particularly in consumer electronics or the toy industry;
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent financial acumen and analytical abilities;
- Demonstrated success in driving growth and achieving business objectives;
- Have a passion for LEGO® and a deep understanding of the LEGO® enthusiast community.
