About the role
The role of the General Manager (Marine Resources) provides strategic leadership and direction to the Marine Resources Business Unit to deliver key priorities, projects and programs related to ensuring sustainable management and economic development of Tasmania’s living Marine Resources. As the General Manger, you will be responsible for providing informed and authoritative strategic advice, information and recommendations with a focus on Marine Resources, fisheries and aquaculture sector policy.
About you
As an experienced, delivery focused leader you have a strong background in marine and related industries, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills to deliver on marine policy and strategies. You will also have demonstrated experience in managing relationships with stakeholders and working collaboratively with government agencies, peak bodies and industry within a diverse and dynamic operating environment.
Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstration of an equivalent level of skills together with a proven record of executive leadership are also desirable.
The role is a Senior Executive office for a contract period of up to 5 years and offers an attractive remuneration package, which incorporates salary ranging from $173,328 to $190,558 p.a., plus 11% superannuation and private use of a fully maintained vehicle.
