They are leaders in Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) and have been expanding their Australian portfolio. They currently boast a robust presence across Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Canberra. Their portfolio includes six PBSA properties with a total of 4,084 beds under management and they’re looking to expand further, to become a leading operator in the Australian PBSA space.
The opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager in an all-encompassing head office role to oversee brand operations and drive strategic growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership and management in the PBSA space, and demonstrate strong expertise in operational management, client satisfaction, and team management.
Main responsibilities:
The candidate
You will ideally have a bachelor’s degree in business, Real Estate or related field. You will have proven management and leadership experience in the Purpose-Built Student Accommodation industry or similar, with at least 10 - 15 years of experience with 5 years of management level experience. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams will be critical. Too succeed in this role you will need to have a solid understanding of operational management principles, regulations, and best practices.

Main responsibilities:
- Oversee entire operations of the operator business and implement best practices throughout.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve operational goals, company objectives and drive growth.
- Lead and oversee day-to-day operations of the company and properties, including property management, leasing, facilities management, and customer service.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team.
- Formulate and execute a plan to grow the beds under management, reputation of the operational brand and profitability of the company.
- Support, assist and collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team.
- Work closely with the HR department to develop a HR strategy, policy and recruit and cultivate a high performing team.
