- Deliver Mirvac's HSE group-wide Strategy (including Physical and Psychological H&S and Major Hazards) in collaboration with divisional leaders and HSE representatives.
- Ensure the Group HSE Management System: is continuously improved and fit for purpose; remains aligned to HSE strategic priorities and is monitored assured against HSE legislative requirements.
- Foster a strong cross-divisional HSE community (amongst HSE practitioners and business leaders) to drive a high performing and cohesive HSE function, culture and practices.
- Champion and promote a caring culture throughout Mirvac working in partnership with HR and Operational businesses around the management of psychosocial hazards.
- Monitor external and internal HSE trends, data and events to anticipate and lead an appropriate Mirvac response.
- Prepare and present quarterly HSE papers to the Health Safety Environment and Sustainability Committee, Executive Leadership Team and Mirvac Board.
- Where required, manage incidents and act as the interface with the Regulatory Authority and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor HSE performance against objectives and targets and benchmark performance against external national data and pro-actively pursue strategies to improve performance.
- Partner with business leaders and HSE community to maintain appropriate certification of the HSE Management System against the requirements of AZ/NZS4801, AS/NZS ISO 14001 and OHSAS18001 and Office of Federal Safety Commission accreditation.
- Oversee Mirvac's HSE Reporting and Compliance System to ensure functionality and further opportunities for improvement are identified and implemented to remain fit for purpose.
- Oversee an assurance program which is both front end and back-end focused - from time to time undertake assessments, audits, and inspections to identify, evaluate, and mitigate major hazard and psychosocial risks.
- Work with Group Risk on managing HSE crises.
