Due to continued growth and success, a need has arisen for us to hire an experienced Warehouse General Manager ANZ. Reporting to the warehousing and distribution divisional director, this role will lead and provide direction to the division’s warehouse function to ensure we meet customer requirements and achieve financial and operational objectives. You will be accountable for the profit/loss of the warehouse division and will need to lead a team of managers towards sustainable success, whilst promoting business growth for the warehouse function.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for profit and loss of the warehouse function, including reporting requirements, and taking corrective action as required to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Analyse financial data and related metrics to identify areas for review and improvement opportunity.
- Responsible for functional customer growth to meet revenue targets.
- Develop and maintain professional, effective, and productive customer relationships.
- Manage warehouse operational leaders to ensure business operational and financial objectives are met.
- Provide operational direction, guidance and mentoring to State Warehouse Management to support achievement of business objectives
- Develop State Management KPIs to support achievement of warehouse business objectives
- Manage/evaluate the performance of direct reports and their teams against business objectives and KPIs.
- Identify and lead initiatives to improve operational quality and efficiency to support the achievement of business objectives.
- Providing pivotal strategic direction to the warehouse function, you will champion the development of warehouse strategies that proactively tackle business needs.
- Overseeing prioritisation and the successful execution of initiatives that are geared towards shaping and advancing future operational objectives.
- Collaborate with peers in the Warehousing & Distribution senior leadership team to address issues arising/incidents to facilitate the timely and seamless movement of product/materials, to meet DIFOT requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a General Management role (or equivalent) within a fast-paced warehousing function in a growing business.
- Demonstrated capability to lead, motivate, and influence teams to achieve business objectives.
- High level verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence effective commercial outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in reviewing revenue and costs to ensure financial objectives are met and profit is maximised
- Well-developed analytical and financial data interpretation acumen.
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example, with integrity, both strategically, and operationally (hands on).
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
- Demonstrated effective customer engagement, and issue resolution.
- A collaborative and team-based approach.
- Demonstrated experience managing HSEQ and overall regulatory compliance.
