The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage have a fixed term opportunity available until late 2024.The Geospatial Information Officer is responsible for undertaking a range of Spatial Data Capture functions using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The role performs a variety of functions to support the activities, operations and work program of the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage (DPLH) and the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC).This is a fixed term full time position until December 2024 with possibility of extension (however consideration may be given to applicants seeking part-time opportunities). This process may be used to fill future similar permanent or fixed-term positions that may arise within the Department and across the WA public sector in the next 12 months from the initial date of appointment.The Perth office is located in the Perth CBD in a convenient location, above the Perth Underground rail; close to the Wellington Street Bus Station and City CAT services.To be successful for this position, you need to demonstrate:
- Experience in and knowledge of GIS/mapping practices in a team environment.
- Demonstrate the behaviour of ‘think through complexity’ within the leadership context of Personal Leadership and discuss your ability to use different resources to in order to solve problems.
