This role would be based in HVP Office in Churchill, Gippsland.
Key responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our motivated team in Gippsland. The key focus of this position is to support business operations through the management of the region’s accounting and monthly financial reporting:
Specific duties will include:
- Working with the management team to provide commercial and financial advice
- Managing the budgeting process and regular forecasting for the region
- Managing and producing various monthly and quarterly reports as required
- Lead a small team including setting KPI and performance appraisals
- Involvement in annual external financial audit process
- Active participation in region’s customer credit management
- Involvement in finance and operational projects
To thrive in this role, you will ideally possess:
- A tertiary qualified person with previous accounting experience in a commercial environment. CPA or CA qualification required
- Advanced Excel skills are essential and knowledge of Epicor accounting software will be highly regarded. Strong background in interpreting and analysing financial results together with an expertise in accounting processes and internal controls.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills while liaising with external and internal stakeholders.
- You will need to be self-directed, able to influence and negotiate as well as being achievement focused.
Other information
- This position may require you to travel to other HVP office locations and at times, overnight travel. A current Australian driver’s licence is required.
