- $110,000-$115,000 plus Super depending on experience
- Full-time, ongoing permanent position. Immediate Start
- Melbourne CBD location/Working from Home Arrangement
- Reviewing existing policy and procedure documents to ensure the effectiveness of Internal Controls and adoption of best practices.
- Providing training, aligned with the Risk Management Program, to create an understanding on the importance of internal control and assurance concepts to the departments
- Partnering with the Risk and Finance Teams and other Departments on Internal Controls and assurance issues and make recommendations to address them.
- Delivering briefings and policy advice that support the strategic direction of the business team and department.
- Identifying opportunities for stakeholder engagement and implementing engagement processes including the preparation of stakeholder engagement document, and analysis of feedback to inform policy summaries and reports.
- Providing timely alerts to the Executive Leadership Team and delivering continuous improvements for the Committee Governance Program
- Prior experience in reviewing and formulating policy and procedure documents.
- Significant experience in establishing Internal Controls and risk management.
- Experience in providing high-quality advice and ensuring that Executive briefings are written to a high standard and align with governance controls.
- Proven ability to manage and lead complex policy projects.
- Demonstrable understanding of how state government policies and programs are delivered.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and to influence outcomes
- Tertiary qualification in Public Policy, Public administration or equivalent.
- Membership of the Professional Institutes is desirable.
- Committee Governance experience desirable.
