The Jefferson Automotive Group has been operating for over 40 years and has grown to be one of Melbourne’s largest and most successful automotive dealership groups.
We have a strong corporate support structure and have unique opportunity for a Graduate Accountant to join our team.
The successful candidate will be trained across all areas of administration and general accounting. This position will initially be based at Mentone, however you will be required to travel to our other dealerships as required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to start their career in a friendly and supportive team environment.
Typical responsibilities of the role include:
- Assisting the Company Accountant in the accurate and timely processing of day to day finance and administration tasks such as:
- Daily EFT payments
- Cash flow management
- Petty cash
- Daily banking
- Financier payouts
- Stock purchases
- Stationery orders
- Assist the Company Accountant in the reconciliation of all accounts, analysing differences and preparing journals as required.
- Provide relief work to other administration functions when needed and learn all aspects of the New Car Clerk, Used Car Clerk, Accounts Receivable and Payable roles.
The successful applicant will have:
- Completed or working towards a Degree in Accounting
- Proficiency in the use of PCs and financial management systems
- Well developed time management skills
- Self motivated with an ability to work to deadlines in a team environment
We are seeking a candidate who is a fast learner with great communication and interpersonal skills, loves a challenge, and has an eye for detail. The successful candidate will be fully supported and trained to ensure success in the role.
